TFA to Collaborate with UN SDG Media Zone to Spotlight Celebrity Voices

United Nations SDG Media Zone

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

24 September 2025

New York – Talking Foreign Affairs (TFA) today announced its collaboration with the United Nations SDG Media Zone, starting at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. The collaboration will feature interviews hosted by TFA with celebrities and global leaders on the SDG Media Zone platform to drive action on the Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN SDG Media Zone, led by the UN Department of Global Communications, is a flagship platform that hosts live interviews, panels, and conversations during major UN events. Past participants include Natalie Portman and Sir Richard Branson.

Its mission is to spotlight the SDGs, 17 global targets adopted by the UN to end poverty, protect the planet, and promote peace and prosperity by 2030.

Speaking on the update, TFA founder Adil Cader said

Our goal is to take the SDGs beyond conference rooms and make them part of everyday conversations. Teaming up with the UN SDG Media Zone allows us to combine the influence of public figures with the reach of the United Nations to build awareness and inspire action at scale. We have long appreciated their work and it is honour to be working with them on this important initiative”

The collaboration reflects growing evidence that relatable messengers are key to engaging new generations. A recent Ipsos survey found that young people are significantly more likely to follow global issues when communicated through relatable public figures and celebrities. With digital spaces increasingly shaping public opinion, initiatives such as the SDG Media Zone are critical to reaching audiences where they are most engaged.
